Expensive but you get what you pay for, more or less. More suited to the casual trainer than anyone with a serious sporting programme.

If I ever can't make it before 6 I amaze well turn round and leave. About 6 benches. 1 bench press and one of each machine 2 pairs of each dumbbell. Not enough equipment for peak times. Had to leave before I even started as nothing I wanted to use was available. Had many a bad work out as a result of serious over crowding. If you can get your boss to give you 2 hours at about 2 till 4 you are ok. It's more or less empty. If not look for a gym where you can actually use the equipment after work hours.
Gets 3 stars because the staff are fantastic and if you go before 6pm you have a lovely work out. This place just has space issues and needs to find a way to manage peak times better.

Have been a member for only a month but happy so far with choice of classes and professional staff! Happy that it has separate female and male sauna/steam rooms and swimming pool! It's quite a luxury to have a pool in central London but hey:) they got it 👍

I disagree with a lot of the negative reviews here. I always find the changing rooms and showers to be very clean. The gym has everything you'd expect and the pool/jacuzzi area is very large and rarely busy. I come here three/four times a week and this is definitely my favorite Virgin location...Mansion House is really nice and closer to my work but I still generally end up here. Only mild complaints; it gets pretty busy in peak times and it can be hard to get a bench in the free weights, the jacuzzi is sometimes not quite warm enough, the men's steam room could benefit from a little eucalyptus or something to mask the man smell, I also really like the wrist band lockers in some of the other VA gyms but bringing a lock isn't so bad.

Nothing special.
It's one of the VA classic clubs, but if you go in with high expectations you'll be disappointed. The gym floor itself is very small and it is packed with cardio machines all crammed together. They have very little strength equipment and the free weight room is not very spacious. You need to constantly watch the tools you're using as they get easily "stolen" by others if you pause to rest. The locker rooms could use some more deep cleaning. In summary, I'd expect much more from VA and a classic club given the fees they charge. What saddens me the most is that I've tried many gyms and this is still better than others. I guess it says a lot about the established standards.
