Taxi Price Compare

Booked a taxi a few hours in advance through Taxi Price Compare, they took payment at the time of booking. The taxi was cancelled and we were only alerted 5 minutes before the taxi was supposed to arrive! Even if this is the fault of the taxis not wanting to take up the booking, it is awful service to cancel with such short notice leaving us stranded and late!

Booked an airport transfer using this company and the provider then cancelled the trip 2 hours before the collection time and then tried to reallocate the trip for a dramatically increased rate - be very wary if you plan on using this service and make sure to double check your booking!! Also these reviews look incredibly fishy to me - tell me how is possible to have so many 5 star reviews and then following that only 1 star reviews - surely there would be a few 2/3/4 star reviews as well? This leads me to believe that the 5 star reviews have been paid for to make this company look favourable in terms of their ratings - do not trust them!!

Started a booking. Then went back to it half hour later and the price had gone up. Deleted my cookies and data from my browser and the price went back down. Very cheeky tactic. Went straight to the cheapest company and cut these guys out and was much cheaper anyway.

Diabolically bad- do not use under any circumstances. I've had to go through the ombudsman and my credit card company to report these cowboys for what I consider to be fraudulent activity. First they messed up my booking repeatedly, then they charged me twice, said they refunded the money and then didn't. They then signed me up to a loyalty program without my consent and set up a recurring payment that I had to call my bank to cancel. Even though I called and emailed constantly to get these situations rectified all of these requests fell on deaf ears. Even the taxi driver we used recommended not to use these characters due to their incompetence and high fees- book direct to get lower fees as google does the same job. Avoid at all costs if you don't want to waste hundreds of pounds and hours trying to sort their mess out for them.

DO NOT USE!!!!! If I could give this company 0 stars I would.

I booked my return taxi journey for me and my friends and they took the payment instantly and then another following £25 which I was completely unaware of. However a few hidden costs are not the problem as on the day the taxi never even turned up. I called the company which they had provided me with the name of and they had told me they don't even work with this particular company!! Further to this I called the taxi code number and funnily enough there was no answer.

We was left on the day with no transportation or information on what had happened and we was completely stuck.
