We stumbled upon this place on the way to see Eisbrecher at the Zenith. We were pleasantly surprised by the food quality and great service. If you get the English menu it does not include the specials so I would ask for the German one as well. A few of us selected off the weekly menu.

Free wifi, good obaztda and beer. Pleasant place to sit relax and people watch

Excellent local cuisine accompanied by cold local beer. In Munich for a more than a week now and so far this is the best place to start the Bavarian cuisine adventure. The food was delicious, the beer was local, the service was great.

The food is okay--3 stars at best--but still, I'm giving this place four. Why? The service is always friendly, the interior is cozy (especially in the winter when the fur blankets are put out), and the spareribs are solid. In sum, there's a hospitality to this place that you don't always find in more traditional restaurants around here and that counts for a lot in our book.

Note: Almost three quarters of the dining rooms is having the burger at any given time (it looks good but looks can be deceiving when it comes to burgers) though I can't really comment since we've never tried one.
