Located close to the red light district in Geneva. Close to city center so transportation is easy to come by. Clean rooms. Love rainfall shower.

I think I appreciate the hybridization of 'east meeting west' where we are in Geneva, but the interior is all Asian-fusion; (I think the style is called French Oriental) There is a nice sitting area outdoors in the back with bamboo and a waterfall.

Not only are the bedrooms small and crammed, the bathrooms are as small and our window faces the redlight district. The rooms do not smell nice and on multiple occasions I've walked in and both the hallway and the room smells like a bathroom toilet. I think the larger concerning item is this place is marked as a luxury hotel and I really find it not to be, when compared to many others. Even given it being a smaller luxury. If you are not comfortable with this, do not stay here go somewhere else. If you like small crammed spaces with modern rooms that are mildly rundown and somewhat awkward (even the edging is worn and has scrapes), then go ahead and pay a premium here. The only pluses? The staff are friendly and apologetic and the food is good, but VERY expensive. Our breakfast was free which is expected and it tasted good, but the spread was small. On the second day, the spread was much better. I enjoyed my capaccino, but I felt that my options were very limited for food on the first day. If I am going to pay as much as I am, I want good quality service and should not have to worry about the rest of the following items.

When the website says '5 minute walk from the train station' they mean: a 10-15 minute walk down poorly maintained roads and streets under construction, and to boot, you walk through the red light district. Nowhere on the website is this mentioned at all. If the goal is to get customers to avoid the red lights, they should provide directions saying such. Once inside the hotel, the place is very dark; very poorly lit and uncomfortably small to enter and exit. The elevator is small and claims to hold 7 people when you can only fit 4 with suitcases, really 3 unless you are very small. I understand that elevators in the west in general can be small, but I definitely find this one to be very small.

The exercise room has a total of 4 machines and is smaller than our actual room we are staying in. The sana is tiny and can only hold 2 people (maybe a few more if you all squish together). The hotel layout is very awkward and clashes with the rest of the interior architecture in the area. Even more so, the bath tub drain did not work in our room, no one resolved the issue, and our heat was stuck on high until someone came and reset the system on our floor. The toilet was not cleaned, and the even though we asked for twin beds, they gave us one large bed. When we kindly and nicely asked for them to split the bed and redo the sheets, we were told it would be done right away. What happened? We came back 8 hours later and no one had done anything. After having walked through the red light district into a somewhat awkward/sketchy establishment and having the wrong beds was one thing. But to find them still not done 8 hours later is another (we understand people forget and make mistakes) but what really put us over the top was when we called down that night asking why our sheets had not been done, the concierge did not bring up the correct number of sheets. He did not make the bed and one of the sheets was completely ripped and useless. We ended up making the bed ourselves. The prices here compared to the old district of Geneva? Absurd. It really is frustrating because you pay already an expensive rate because of Geneva/Swiss Franc, but at least I'd like a little more value, especially if it is a luxury hotel. The website totally falsely sells it up and you completely overpay for not so good value compared to ANY hotel in the old district.

I really am quite disappointed because I am here with my parents and this may be the last time we are all here together. We've been doing a much larger trip and this is unfortunately a not good part of the trip. We've been having a great time elsewhere. :(
