First time visit to Liverpool and chose this hotel for its description and thinking that at a £102.60 per night this would be a visit to remember. Albeit for the wrong reason. This hotel is in poor condition for the price.
The rooms are dated and shabby with peeling wall paper, mouldy windows and bathroom area. Stains on carpets is a continuous theme throughout this hotel. Severe creeky beds with poor springs set you up for a restless night.
On a plus the full English breakfast is highly recommended although a bit pricey.
Our receptionists on arrival 'Sarah' was very helpful and couldn't apologise enough and offered us an alternative room to look at but unfortunately this followed the same theme as our pre booked room.
The staff in general were very polite and helpful.
Location to all the bars and of course the cavern club is spot on.
If you want to pay for an overpriced room with basic run down furnishings, be my guest
We would choose a better hotel next time as Liverpool is a great place to visit.

Staff were very accommodating and made sure because of our wait whilst checking in we received a complimentary drink. Apart from that i was quite disappointed. There were no sanitary facilities in the ladies toilet but instead a machine that sold small bottles of perfume and tic tacs? The room was okay but the bed very hard and cleaners knocking on the door in the morning. Lastly we were charged twice so this has now got to be sorted. If it wasn't for such lovely staff i would have given this a 'dislike'.

Booked in for a party night with a 3 course meal, tribute act and a disco, the food was excellent for this kind of thing, the tribute was really just a singer although very good, the "stage" was an area between the stairs and the bar and the "dance floor" a small area right in front of the bar. Stop trying to do everything and concentrate on what you are good at

Stayed here for 4 nights. Staff were very pleasant and friendly but overall very disappointed. Rooms poky and awkward placing of bathroom. Shower only - no bath. Cleaning not good - some toothpaste splashes not even cleaned off round the sink and toilet not cleaned properly. Back of the wardrobe falling off, room not vacuumed properly. Plastic disposable drinking cups provided but not even changed once during the 4 days. Breakfast was disappointing- standard white and brown sliced bread only - no decent rolls. They are obviously trying to market themselves on their service but we ordered one tea and one coffee tea was dreadful- very weak and tasteless. Coffee came as individual cup and no one came to offer a refill even though the restaurant was quiet.

I had never eaten or drank in there before, what an excellent experience it was. I was with my disabled Father and 6 others, the staff were amazing and the food was superb. I definitely will be going there again 😉
